Assisting firefighters to attend charity events

Welcome to Fireground Coffee

Participant Terms & Conditions

These Terms apply to any firefighter or fundraiser (“you”) who joins the Fireground Coffee fundraising programme. By creating an account in the Fireground Coffee Portal and placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Ordering & Payment

  • All orders must be placed through the Fireground Coffee Portal, found at maxcoffee.co.nz.
  • The minimum order is 10 bags total per order. Any extra bags must be in multiples of 5 e.g. 15, 20, 25, 30… (This allows us to provide free shipping to urban addresses).
  • If your order slips outside those multiples, we’ll give you a quick call to adjust it up or down.
  • You may mix and match grinds (wholebean, plunger, espresso) as long as the total amount of bags per order is 10 or more.
  • Example: 5 wholebean + 3 plunger + 2 espresso = 10 bags ✔️ (meets the minimum).
  • Payment is required upfront at checkout using the payment options provided.
  • Orders are not processed until payment is received.

2. Shipping & Pickups

  • Free shipping is available to urban addresses only.
  • We are currently unable to ship Fireground Coffee orders to rural addresses.
  • Orders can also be collected directly from Max Coffee’s premises in Kerikeri if reasonable notice is given. Drop-in pickups without notice cannot always be accommodated.
  • Orders are processed during Max Coffee’s business hours:
  • Mon–Thu 7:30am–4:30pm
  • Fri 7:30am–12:00pm
  • Closed weekends and public holidays.
  • If no one is available to receive the goods at the nominated address, or if the address provided is incorrect, any re-delivery or redirection fees will be the responsibility of the fundraiser.

3. Product Details

Each bag is 250g, available in wholebean, plunger ground, or espresso ground.

Each bag displays:

  • Max Coffee’s contact details (for legal traceability)
  • Batch number
  • Best Before date (6 months from roasting).

To ensure freshness, order only what you expect to sell within 2–3 weeks. Coffee is safe to consume after the Best Before date if stored correctly and it shows no signs of spoilage, but flavour and quality will decline. We do not recommend selling it after the best before date.

Storage: keep coffee in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, heat, moisture, chemicals, strong odours, and pet food.

4. Fundraising Use

Coffee supplied under this programme is for fundraising only.

It must not be resold to cafés, supermarkets, or other retail or wholesale outlets unless approved by Max Coffee.

Fireground Coffee branding must be used as supplied. Max Coffee logos and branding may not be altered or repackaged.

5. Damaged or Lost Goods

  • Damaged goods: If products arrive damaged beyond a saleable condition, notify Max Coffee within 48 hours of receiving them and provide photos. Replacement or refund will be arranged.
  • Lost parcels: If an order does not arrive, Max Coffee will investigate with the courier and arrange replacement or refund if the loss is confirmed.

6. Product Recalls

If a product recall is required, Max Coffee will:

  • Notify all registered fundraisers immediately,
  • Provide recall instructions by email, and
  • Replace any affected bags (identified by batch number).

7. Our Responsibility

  • Max Coffee guarantees all products meet New Zealand food safety and labelling standards.
  • Beyond replacing or refunding faulty, damaged, lost, or recalled coffee, Max Coffee is not responsible for:
  • the outcome of your fundraising,
  • unsold or expired stock, or
  • flavour issues caused by poor storage or handling.

8. Portal Access

Access to the Fireground Coffee Portal is only for registered fundraisers. If these Terms are not followed, Max Coffee may suspend or remove access.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by New Zealand law.

By placing an order through the Fireground Coffee Portal, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms.
