A little slice of life inside Max Coffee Roastery.
Hand-drawn by Zara, one half of Max, Portraits of Roastery Life is exactly that: the people, machines and everyday carry-on that make this place tick, immortalised in orange.
There’s roasting. Packing. Coffee making. Coffee drinking. Boxes being shifted from one place to another, presumably for very important reasons. Our original Otto Swadlo roaster makes an appearance too, alongside the big orange Probat P25 currently responsible for turning green beans into the good stuff.
Everyone has, naturally, been reduced to one of our signature peanut people.
We’re pretty stoked to do the mahi we do. Making sweet, sweet beans, sending them out into the world and helping fuel people to get out there and live their Max.
So Zara drew the whole operation.
Then we whacked it on a hoodie.

Printed on an AS Colour hoodies.
The women's fit is the box hood and men's fit is the relax hood.

For a roomier fit, size up. For less room, don’t. Science.
LOOK AFTER IT
Cold wash, inside out. Don’t bleach it. Don’t attack the print with an iron. Treat it reasonably well and it’ll keep documenting your excellent life choices for considerably longer.

When will my order be sent?
We need about 2 weeks to get these little beauties made just for you.
Once its done you can expect your delivery within 2-4 business days from dispatch, or up to 7 business days for rural addresses.
Order tracking
Each item is tracked and sent via NZ Couriers or NZ Post. You can track your order using the tracking number and the link on your dispatch confirmation email.

International orders
If you order products for delivery outside of New Zealand or Australia, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes. Please note that you will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. International shipments are also subject to inspection by customs authorities if needed.

We’re talking farmers, roasters, café crews, and the bleary-eyed legends brewing at home in their pyjamas. We stay in touch, check in, show up, and occasionally over-commit to latte art throwdowns.
We believe in trust, decent yarns, and supporting our mates — because great coffee doesn’t happen in a vacuum (unless you’re storing beans, then yeah, vacuum-seal away).
